Two landscapes in ink.

Had fun creating these images by layering ink washes. Finished with ink pens.

Using ink to draw.

After a lesson on using ink to draw I completed these three pictures. The ink was used in a similar way to watercolour. Using diluted ink to put down a light tone and building to create darker areas. Some of the ink was added onto a wet surface so wet on wet. Finished off by adding detail with fineliner when ink was dry.

Lion cub
Tiger cub.
Sun flowers in the style of Vincent.

Lion, pastel on pastel paper.

Lion.

Surprised myself with this lovely fluffy lion. Thoroughly enjoyed creating this pastel picture.

Another day Another Bridge.

Autumn by Pwllperian.

Watercolour with some pencil detail on watercolour paper.

Watercolour hare

I seem to be enjoying painting watercolour hares. On watercolour paper.

Calon Aur and Cadi.

Cadi in Charcoal on pastel paper.

I can’t draw boats.

I have been following a Sunday Art Class. I have enjoyed charcoal animals, oils and pastels.

I was however not pleased with last Sundays reference image. It was a fishing boat, there are other things in the image but mainly, right in the middle, the feature is a boat. I can’t draw boats not realistic able to set to sea boats.

I was talked through judging the length, the proportions and the bend line.

It actually looks like a boat.

A boat pen and watercolour wash.

Aberystwyth harbour wall.

Created using soft pastels on pastel paper.

An iconic view of Aberystwyth, captured early this year.

Cyanotype. I have been learning how to make these prints.

Using foliage, alchemy, sunshine a lovely way to make art.

Using good quality paper, paint with the sun reactive solution. Place foliage on top. Cover with glass Place in the sun watch it change colours.
As you can see it starts green, turns blue and then brown.
Wash and neutralise the surface.

My finished dried prints. Well I say finished but I have ideas on finishing them, which will take a little longer.
